About Us

Erik Engstrom, with a background in executive leadership, and Zack Anderson, combining his athletic discipline with mechanical skills, found a shared mission during the pandemic. Their aim was simple: create a space where Zack could continue living in the Graton & Sebastopol area and foster a constructive and fulfilling direction for his life.

For Erik, the venture was more than just business; it was a chance to watch his son grow and thrive daily at The Neighbor’s Kid Auto Repair. Despite our founding in 2021, our team already consists of several apprentices, a part- time engine machinist and together we have more than 50 years of practical internal combustion engine diagnostic skill and experience.

Our Approach

• We Invest In Every Relationship: Before most estimates are provided, we prefer to do a full courtesy inspection. This involves an hour spent inspecting your vehicle in its entirety, from suspension, brakes, and steering to engine performance, fuel trim, computer DTC codes, and drivability concerns. This evidence is then mapped to the customer’s concerns and goals to create an appropriate estimate.
